Proclamation By The Governor

PURSUANT to section 8 of the Administrative Arrangements Act 1994 and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, I direct that—

(a)a reference to the Minister for State Development or to the Minister for Regional Development in an Act, a statutory instrument, any other kind of instrument, or a contract, agreement or other document will have effect as if it were a reference to the Minister for State and Regional Development;

(b)a reference to the Minister for Primary Industries and Resources in a statutory instrument under an Act will, if the Act was on 3 December 2001, committed to that Minister, have effect as if it were a reference to the Minister to whom the administration of the Act is for the time being committed;

(c)a reference to the Minister for Primary Industries and Resources in a statutory instrument or any other kind of instrument, or a contract, agreement or other document, made or entered into before the date of this proclama-tion (other than a reference to which paragraph (b) is applicable) will have effect as a reference to the Minister for Primary Industries or the Minister for Minerals and Energy according to the distribution of Ministerial functions and liabilities between the relevant Ministers so that the reference will have effect as if it were a reference to the Minister to whom the relevant responsibilities or functions are currently assigned;

ADMINISTRATIVE ARRANGEMENTS ACT 1994 SECTION 7: CONSTITUTION OF MINISTERS AS BODIES CORP-ORATE; TRANSFER OF ASSETS, RIGHTS AND LIABILITIES

Proclamation By The Governor

PURSUANT to section 7 of the Administrative Arrangements Act 1994 and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, I—

1.Dissolve the bodies corporate referred to in Schedule 1.

2.Constitute the Ministers referred to in Schedule 2 as bodies corporate.

3.(1)Vest the assets and rights and attach the liabilities of the former body corporate known as the Minister for State Development and of the former body corporate known as the Minister for Regional Development in the body corporate to be known as the Minister for State and Regional Development.

(2)Vest the assets and rights and attach the liabilities of the former body corporate known as the Minister for Primary Industries and Resources in the body corporate to be known as the Minister for Primary Industries or the body corporate known as the Minister for Minerals and Energy according to the distribution of Ministerial responsibilities and functions between the relevant Ministers so that assets, rights and liabilities appropriate to particular responsibilities or functions vest in, or attach to, the appropriate body corporate.

(3)Vest the assets and rights and attach the liabilities of the former body corporate known as the Minister for Justice in the Crown.

(4)Vest the assets and rights and attach the liabilities of the former body corporate known as the Minister for Information Economy in the body corporate known as the Minister for Administrative and Information Services.

(5)Vest the assets and rights and attach the liabilities of the former body corporate known as the Minister for Workplace Relations in the body corporate to be known as the Minister for Workplace Services.

Citation

1.The Public Corporations (Bio Innovation SA) Regulations 2001 (see Gazette 14 June 2001 p.2252) are referred to in these regulations as "the principal regulations".

Commencement

2.These regulations come into operation on the day on which they are made.

Variation of reg. 3—Interpretation

3.Regulation 3 of the principal regulations is varied by striking out the definition of "Minister" and substituting the following definition:

"Minister" means the Minister for Innovation;.
