12 ANGRY MEN

EXTRA CREDIT ASSIGNMENT

You are to compose a 450-500 word, 6 paragraph review of the movie,

“12 Angry Men.”

Due: Late reviews will not be accepted.

THEMES:

1-Prejudice often gets in the way of truth.

2-Getting to the bottom of a complex issue takes time and effort.

3-There are many interpretations of “the facts.”

4-Being civil will encourage others to listen to you.

5-One determined and skilled individual can wield a lot of influence.

6-Going against the crowd is uncomfortable, but sometimes necessary.

7-Everyone is entitled to an “impartial jury of their peers.”

8-Jury duty can be a major inconvenience.

Next, address 4 of the 8 above-mentioned themes in four separate paragraphs). You will explain how each theme relates to the story, or a particular scene in “12 Angry Men.”(one paragraph per theme/75 word minimum per paragraph)

Finally, compose a paragraph in which you conclude your review. Make sure you mention what your personal opinion was of the movie and at least 3 reasons for your opinion..
