CHO2 Recovery Education Facilitator

CHO2 (Galway, Mayo and Roscommon Mental Health Services) Advancing Recovery in Ireland Steering group developed a Recovery Education Strategy 2017-2019. The group have secured 150k funding to implement the strategy. The strategy includes recruiting, training, supporting and reimbursing people with lived experience, family members and staff to work as part of a team focusing on co-producing and co-facilitating recovery education for services users, family members and staff in a variety of settings including day centres, training centres and community residences across our mental health services.

There will be 5 days training in total divided into two blocks. The first three days training will be on the 13th, 14th and 15th February, Connaught Hotel, Galway. Accommodation and food will be paid for by the HSE. The further two days training has yet to be arranged. Training will include learning facilitation skills and personal development training. Successful candidates must be available to attend all training dates.

Recovery Education Facilitators not already employed by the HSE will be paid an hourly rate of €26 anything session over four hours will be paid a daily rate of €115 for their work in co-producing, preparing for and co-facilitating learning events. These payment rates are in line with the national reimbursement scheme for service users and family members. Successful applicants will not be paid for time spent on the initial training to equip them for this role but will be paid thereafter.
