MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To ensure an effective inventory control for Drilling ,piping , Chemicals ,oils and Hook-up materials to consistent with company’s business plan objectives .
  • To enable efficient and effective procurement of materials by providing knowledge and expertise transfer to colleagues and being a consultant for customers on procurement matters.
  • To provide optimum materials service level versus stock investment and to contribute to the overall cost saving and reduced inventory targets.
  • Preparer and control relevant price agreements and contracts.
  • Manage the stock analyst activities in line with Annual Business Plan.
  • Maintain a balance between capital investment in inventories and meeting operational needs for Company’s operations by applying sound inventory control techniques.
  • Work with Drilling and Operations support functions and users to improve variety control and optimize the Stock Levels in the inventory. This will be a major challenge with a company objective of reducing stock levels
  • Manage the supply chain for Drilling, Production, Chemicals and Piping Class material.
  • Develop strategy and implement call-off contracts and price agreements for stock materials.
  • Being contract holder / focal point for procurement of all inventory related price agreements.
  • Contribute to global agreements and bench marking to ensure most economical inventory solutions.
  • Continuously improve business interfaces with Well engineering, Engineering and Operations in order to increase customer satisfaction.
  • Provide procurement and inventory management expertise for above mentioned commodities
  • Evaluate technically all quotations for a/m stock requirements.

2-MESC coding & Standardization section head 1/3/2005 to15/3/2009

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lay guidelines for creation of Coding framework and other standard procedures .
  • Ensures that direct charge materials requisition are correctly checked and coded.
  • Ensuring that the range of spare parts and other items held in stock by the Company is optimized.
  • Ensuring that MESC codes and Buying Descriptions are established and modified as necessary.
  • Prepares and amends the full detailed buying descriptions in system, incorporating references to international standards such as DIN, BS, API, ISO etc.
  • Monitor performance and prepare monthly statistics for management.
  • Initiate and drive stock rationalization and standardization.
  • Maintain Databases on MESC changes, Part no. changes, etc

3- Team Member for IMMpower system implementation . 2/5/2003 to 1/3/2005

AFPC used EMA 34 as materials administration system from 1989 till 2005 . in 2003 company used IMMpower which is system for planning and prevent maintenance . this system has materials control module , design taken to change EMA 34 system to IMMpower materials module version 4.

  • Vender managements AVL , AML , ABL and link it to commodity code.

Coding and updated items in the system for several commodities like drilling , hock up ,chemicals ,oils ,instruments , machinery ,…etc

  • Coding new items according to SPIR or stock proposals .
  • Prepares and amends the full detailed buying descriptions in system.
  • Check direct charge requisitions .
  • Assists in rationalization and standardization of materials in conjunction with technical support staff and Stock Analysts
  • Assists in maintaining the Purchasing & Logistics Department library of MESC catalogues, Shell DEP’s, Group and Company manuals, suppliers catalogues and other technical literature.

  • To maintain optimal stock levels meeting operational needs but balanced with commercial impact of satisfying operational requirements.
  • To support Drilling, Operations, Maintenance and Engineering on all inventory related issues.
  • To support the Purchasing process on commodity and commercial matters. Provides a technical evaluation service to Purchasing.
