Expectations for Title I Parent Community Liaisons

2014-2015 School Year
1.Title I and Non-Title I Parent Community Liaisons will be paid a total of $1,848.00 per year.
2.All Parent Community Liaisons agree to work a minimum of six (6) hours per week at the school or on activities for the school between August 1, 2014 and May 31, 2015. These hours and job responsibilities will be mutually agreed upon by the Parent Community Liaisonsand the building Principal and will be put into the form of a documented written monthly schedule to be maintained by the Parent Community Liaisonand the building Principal.
3.All Parent Community Liaisonsagree to hold, coordinate, or assist with at least six (6) parent training sessions at the school during the 2014-2015 school year. Technical assistance is available for these training sessions and they can be conducted in various formats at the schools. These training sessions must have prior approval by the building Principal. Three (3) parent training session topics will be given by the Wayne County Parent Community Liaisonand the other three (3) session topics will the choice of the parent Community Liaisonand principal at each school.
4.All Parent Community Liaisonsagree to attend all monthly Parent Community Liaisonstraining sessions held at the Board Office. This activity can count toward the six (6) hours per week for the week the meetings are scheduled. If you are absent from a county parent community liaisonsmeeting, then it is your responsibility to contact the Wayne County parent community liaison (Tony Dale Conn – Title I Coordinator) within 10 school business days and schedule an appointment to discuss topics and information covered during that meeting and obtain written information for your parent community liaisonsnotebook.
5.All Parent Community Liaisonswill coordinate two (2) book fairs or host two (2) book events at their individual school.
6.All Parent Community Liaisonsmust have completed three (3) school parent community liaisontrainings, one (1) book fair or (1) book event, and turn in monthly time sheets to verify compliance in order to receive first semester payment for 2014.
7.All Parent Community Liaisonsmust have completed six (6) school parent community liaisontrainings, two (2) book fairs or book events, turn in monthly time sheets and submit their school parent community liaisonnotebook ( Which should include 6 parent meeting agendas, sign-in-sheet, minutes, and all handouts; All county community liaisonsmeeting agendas and information, 2 book fair or book events documentation and flyers, any miscellaneous information.) in order to complete the school year check-out process and to verify compliance of job requirements for final payment in 2015.
8.All Parent Community Liaisonsagree to have a State Police background check.
