In your opinion, what impact do you think the R2T teacher candidate(s) will have on students' academic performance in your school?
I believe that the candidates will have a positive impact on student achievement this school year. They have collaborated well with their mentor teachers, been receptive to feedback, and have been effectively utilized by their mentor teachers.
I think that for the most part the impact will be positive. I do wish that they weren't required to teach as much prior to the T-CAP.
Our experience with the R2T program has been wonderful! Teacher candidates came into our school with knowledge of best practices and a "ready to learn" attitude. Our students have benefited from having 2 teachers in the room, giving lower teacher-to-student ratio numbers. We truly have treated our teacher candidates as a teacher and they responded with flying colors!
R2T teacher candidates provide very capable support for the academic requirements of our students. The outcomes will be positive.
The addition of another teacher in the classroom has been invaluable. Having the R2T candidates has allowed our teachers more individualized time with students at all ability levels. I fully expect to see great results as a result of having these teacher candidates from the University of Memphis. They have been vital in moving our students forward this school year.
The impact will be positive on students' academic performance. Having tow adults working with a group of children allows for more individualization of instructional needs.
The R2T candidates will have a positive impact on our students' academic performance because they allow teachers to better meet the needs of all learners.
The teacher candidates at our school will have a positive impact on students' academic performance. I believe our teachers learned from the UofM students and the overall effect has been more different instruction for students and increased student engagement.
This experience has helped us to reach all the students in those classes. It has given us an extra pair of hands to work with students and new ideas.
In your opinion, what impact do you think the R2T teacher candidate(s) will have on your students' academic performance in your classroom?
A fair amount with struggling learners. Little with the advanced learners.
A positive impact
As studies show that smaller instructional groups with more qualified educators in the room improve performance, I am hoping to find this true. My students have received more one on one and small group time because of our teacher candidate.
Having a teacher candidate allowed struggling students to receive extra one on one time with either me or the teacher candidate. Having this extra time to reinforce skills was beneficial to those students.
The teacher candidate had a difficult time with classroom management. Because of this, some students may not have been as focused as they should be and therefore missed out on some instruction.
I believe it will be a positive overall impact.
I believe my students have benefited academically and socially because of my TC. She has developed engaging lessons and been caring towards my students. My data in istation, and other report testing have been higher this year than previous years. I believe the extra help and different teaching perspectives have strengthened my students' achievement.
I believe that the R2T teacher candidate has had a very positive impact on my students' academic performance. My students have had the opportunity to learn from two teachers in the classroom. It is very helpful to have lessons on the same skill but from different teachers because students benefit from a variety of strategies, materials and techniques.
I feel that my students are well prepared for state testing. My teacher candidate has been a valuable asset.
I feel that my students have made measurable gains due to having 2 teachers for the school year.
I think it has been great to be able to co-teach.
I think my R2T teacher will have had a positive effect. Working together, students received more one on one attention and small group instruction. She also brought fresh ideas to a curriculum that has been well practiced over the last few years.
I think my students grew academically and socially by having two instructors in the classroom.
I think my students have enjoyed having a resident this year. I do feel having another adult in the room has helped with independent reading.
I think scores will improve. Also, my teacher candidate has brought new ideas and care into my classroom.
I was very fortunate to have an excellent Resident Candidate. She has carried through with the existing art curriculum and where she could added and upgraded lessons. Her consistent dedication has had a positive impact on my students this year.

My assigned TC was quite helpful with making adjustments to instruction based on assessment and data results. Together we were able to target and provide instruction to students who were in need of remediation and enrichment

My R2T candidate has been a great resource for me and my students. She has fresh ideas, effective teaching strategies and is always there to support our students in any way she can.
My R2T increased the reading comprehension and math skills of my inclusion students, as well as, the rest of the class.
My R2T teacher candidate has made a great impact on the students. I think some of her teaching strategies will come in handy with them testing. She has been a great help to my lower performing students. I can see then making significant gains.

My teacher candidate developed positive relationships with students this year. He developed lessons that were based on current standards and monitored student performance on assessments. His presence will have a positive impact on my students' academic performance.
My teacher candidate has had a great impact on my students overall demeanor this year. I think that my students have grown academically this year. Their academic performance has grown significantly, and my teacher candidate has been able to offer insight into our lessons to further their understanding.
My teacher candidate really impacted my students performance by creating unique reading and writing plans, creative activities and providing that extra pair of hands. She was very proactive.

R2T students usually have a great impact on student learning. I believe that the co-teaching process will improve student performance.
She comes to school each day prepared to teach our children in a FUN way. All of her lessons have been aligned with our state standards. They should do great on state tests.
She has helped out tremendously with our classroom students. We are a special education team hub and these students have formed a special bond with her.
She has impacted them for the better. Their skills have improved.
She has made a great impact on my students from student lessons to working with my students one-on-one. My students have had more small group learning and more in-depth learning due to having my teacher candidate.
She is fantastic and it is like having another certified teacher in the room to help students. I do not have any reservations with my student teacher becoming a teacher and teaching at my school (which is what I would love).
She offered a different way of explaining curriculum, and more options for curriculum delivery.
She provided positive academic support to the students. They gained knowledge from her lessons and teaching and increased their level of mastery.
She will have a great impact on my students' academic performance. She has worked very hard to prepare lessons that are appropriate for the students. She has a wonderful rapport with them and that sets the tone for them to learn.
Teacher Candidate, [name removed], has brought a fresh perspective on instrument playing to my Music classroom. She has been very effective at teaching instrument technique as well as note reading to the students at Bartlett Elementary. We are fortunate to have her! [sic]
The impact my TC will have on student performance will be significant. She has consistently developed plans and activities to enhance their academic growth.
The learning style presented by the teacher candidate greatly increased my students visual art abilities from their thought process to their ability to manipulate certain art mediums.
The R2T candidate has been extremely beneficial to my classroom this year. She has learned to analyze data and develop data driven lessons. She work with small groups and reinforces weak skills. Her rapport with the students is helpful when teaching them.
The R2T teacher candidate assigned to my classroom works well with the students, so I feel that the students' academic performance will improve in all subject areas.
The students will be successful in the academic arena because the lessons taught were authentic and engaging. Lessons were differentiated which made all learners eager to learn and to complete assignments through writing, drawing and speaking. Expectations were set high for all students. These students have been set up and set apart to be the best.
The teacher candidate had a HUGE impact on my students' academic performance.
The teacher candidate has made it possible for me to instruct more in small group settings. This has benefitted student learning as it has made it possible for more differentiation within the class which should improve their academic performance.

With the way the partnership is set up with the co-teaching structure, I feel my students' academic performances will not suffer in any way. If anything, maybe they will improve because I was able to provide more individualized instruction at times.

"Extra hands on deck" helped as we made intervention groups. We could form smaller and more focused groups to address student weaknesses and strengths.

Because my RC was such a high performing and dedicated individual I feel that my students lives were enriched by their interaction with her. Her positive and fresh approach was refreshing.
Being able to have more small group opportunities for students

By being placed with effective mentor teachers, the candidates have been able to assist them in meeting the academic needs of their students.
Candidates offer more help to the school.
Co-teaching, meeting specific learning needs of individualized students, sharing best practices.
Coteaching has had the most effect on the students. The student-teacher ratio is lowered.
Every class needs two teachers. My students have benefitted from this co-teaching experience.
Extra hands are always better. Extra hands to teach, help with registration, help with management, help with dismissal, and help to give the children the attention they need and deserve.

Having two people in the classroom really helps with differentiation and specialized groups and activities.
It has allowed the assigned classes a lower student to teacher ratio and allowed for more personalized instruction. I gained some new and effective ideas from my Resident.
It has been a tremendous asset for our students. I am also excited to hire some of the candidates for full time positions. I feel that they will be excellent first year teachers since they have been here for an entire year.
