JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: / Assistant management AccountantReporting to: / Finance Manager
Location: / Finance Department, Exeter Airport
Hours: / Full time, 40 hours per week
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:
To provide a professional and timely accounting service in respect of preparing financial information and undertaking related accounts administration.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
- Manage all ledgers for Regional & City Airports Ltd. Produce sales invoices and ensure payments are obtained within terms. Process purchase invoices and prepare the monthly supplier pay-run. Ensure ledger information is current and up to date at all times.
- Assist in the production of monthly management accounts,maintain supporting schedules, balance sheet recs, bank recs andmanagement information.
- Assist in theproduction of annual statutory accounts and the external audit process.
- Assist with annual budget preparation and reforecast.
- Reconcile VAT monthly and file VAT returns within regulated timescales.
- The primary point of contact for banking administrative matters including system administration for online banking, maintenance of direct debit instructions, implementing changes to the bank mandate and nominated account contacts.
- Processing / setting up bank payments weekly & monthly.
- Assist with the administration ofthe staff payrolland the payroll year end process including the subsequent production of P11Ds and PSA. Ensure the PSA and dispensation agreements are up to date and renewed annually or as required.
- Meet the requirements of the BSI standard through the production of reports as required by management including but not limited to waste disposal, electricity usage & heating usage.
- Process the reimbursement of staff business expenses in line with the business expense policy.
- Enhance the day to day functioning of the finance department by supporting the finance assistants in executing their duties effectively and efficiently, through offering on the job support, training and guidance as required.
- Undertake ad hoc tasks as required from time to time to assist in the general running of the department.
