1. Progress- Evidenceof progress / improvements made in relation to meeting the standardsand trainee impact on pupil progress, including marking. This may include responses to previous feedback, e-Portfolio (PebblePad), file and tasks.
Trainee progress from previous targets:
  • You are using the school marking and feedback policy to good effect. You are now providing focussed feedback to individuals and this is being tracked via the targeted questions on your planning (TS5/6).
  • Your evaluations and action plan on your e-portfolio demonstrate that you have acted upon feedback. For example, you have now taken responsibility for the deployment of support staff and have effectively directed the TA to support those not making expected progress (TS2/8)
  • The completion of your behaviour management task has resulted in an increased understanding and application of the school policy through your planning (TS7)
Pupil Progress
  • Book scrutiny shows that you have responded to pupil misconception clearly and enabled pupils to move forward in their learning (TS 6)
Your formative assessments as evidenced in your teaching file shows that the group you have taken responsibility for are exceeding expected progress (TS6)
2. Lesson Feedback - reference should be made to relevant Standards with attention to pupil progress, attainment and behaviour for learning
  • You have established secure and respectful professional relationships with the pupils you were working with today (TS1)
  • Your enthusiasm for mathematical discovery and learning was communicated well, which resulted in pupils being motivated to participate and make at least expected progress. All engaged with the algebra challenge with good understanding and independence (TS2/3).
  • You used a range of well-timed modelling and scaffolding activities that developed pupils’ understanding (TS4)
  • You addressed misconceptions early in the lesson, identifying the key vocabulary and this supported pupils’ understanding (TS3)
  • Your plan was differentiated appropriately and the resources you provided were well matched to the learner’s needs (TS5).
  • The oral feedback you provided needs further development, see target below (TS6).
Throughout the group session the learners demonstrated positive attitudes towards you, each other and their learning. You have effectively applied the school policy in practice through acting decisively when necessary (TS7).
