  1. Executive -reviewed policies to be tabled tonight.
  2. Community Liaison –
Lapathonover $11 000 as of last week.Suggestion to move Lapathon to term 3 so it doesn’t clash with booklist.
Discussed the fact that we need to fundraise $30 000 pa to meet the cost of running our school. This message needs to be communicated to parents / school community. The annual report will provide a vehicle to show the change in government support and the needs of our school.
Enterprise grant - we will proceed with an application, need to get the timing right.
School Fair 2016 - Ray White sponsor / Yarrawonga resort prize for raffle. Not using the amusement rides. Booked reptiles and an animal farm, jets gymnastic, kids activities at Ray White stall.
Class placements – have been done 2016. Teachers put a lot of time and energy into this.

Prep Transition
  1. Finance and Management
Budget -Increases to specialist programs.
Mandurang sth – spending funds. Camping is getting a lot of interest from other schools.
Uniforms - holding about $25 000 worth of stock.
Staffing - 3 new grads inc Jess Edgar, 2 ongoing staff Ryan Edwards, PE & 5-6, Alice Adams 0.6 music.
State school relief - Camps sports and excursion funds $125 per student. Parents apply through Ben.
Back to school vouchers available through community foundation Bendigo & central Victoria.
President – change over after 9 years, expressions of interests and chance for discussions with potential new presidents. Current councillors up for re-election need to say if they don’t wish to run for another term so we can seek out nominees.
  1. Principal’s Report–
Straths got talent run separately from the fair – money raised will fill sand pits.
EBT – great experience for all the kids involved on lots of levels.
P- 2 Sports day very successful especially with big kids helping out.
DET rolling out resources and policies around school improvement, using our school to assist with some things.

none / Ben to propose new Lapathon date for term 3 2016

Uniform letter – David will respondwith a succinct letter. There is no concern that we have not complied with department requirements.
Facebook pageoriginated from Kylie Morrison. Most schools stay away from Facebook because you can’t control it. Discussion about how Facebook could help drive traffic back to our website. Our office doesn’t at this time have the personal to run this option.
General discussion about improving communication via the website, pdf newsletter. / Policies ratified with minor changes
