Exciting New Opportunity for the New Year
Would you like to join the Edinburgh Curling Club 1K Club?
WHY Edinburgh Curling Club, in anticipation of work required to be undertaken in the Ice Rink, are starting a fund raising venture called the 1K Club.
WHAT This involves us selling up to a thousand places in a monthly prize draw at £1 a place to members of Edinburgh Curling Club.
Members can buy as many places as they wish. You must buy at least one space for 12 months and pay the annual amount at the beginning. The venture will run from Feb 2016 to Jan 2017. For example if you buy one place in the draw per month you will have an initial outlay of £12.00. Two places each month will be an outlay of £24.00 etc.
Your name will be entered in each monthly draw. If you have one place your name will be entered once two places your name will be entered twice etc.
PRIZES Each month the prize money will be allocated as follows 40% of the total monthly amount gathered will go to the first name out of the draw the next two names will each get 5% of the monthly total. Each month the winners will be contacted and their names will be published in the club rooms and on the website. The remaining 50% will go to the funds of Edinburgh Curling Club. If we achieve our 1000 target this means first prize each month will be £400 with the two runners-up each getting £50.00.
WHEN The draw will take place each month on the second Monday of the month at approximately 11.00 in public in the Club Rooms.
