The Asian Health & Service Center (AHSC)would like to invite you to join the biggest annual events of the year: 12th Annual Asian Community Health Fairon August 17, 2013,and 30th Annual Conferenceon October 17, 2013.
For over 29 years, our Center has been serving the comprehensive needs of Asians in the Portland metropolitan through an array of culturally and linguistically specific services. In the last two years, our service encounter maintained at the level of approximately 60,000 per year.AHSC annual health fair provides a unique opportunity to reach out to Asian community members and connect them with free health screenings and health resources. AHSC annual conference provides the opportunity for businesses to build a stronger network among the diverse populations. We cordially invite you to come and be a part of our effort to reduce health inequity and to improve wellness in the Asian community!
The 2012 Annual Asian Community Health Fair was a great success, drawing 1200-1500 community members. With the help of 283 bilingual volunteers and health professionals, we provided2049 free health screening services to 505 people, which include cholesterol screening, blood pressure, blood glucose testing, body mass index calculation, vision, hearing, dental screening, mental health consultation, vaccinations, and more. There were also 17 booths providing information on breast health, immunization, emergency preparedness, and many others.
The 2012 AHSC Annual Conference was highly supported by the community. We were honored to have Dr. Bruce Goldberg of Oregon Health Authority, and Multnomah County Chairman Jeff Cogen to be our guest speakers. Both speakers commended the successful integrated and holistic service model at AHSC and the contribution of AHSC in reducing health disparities. Among the over 500 guests, including elected officials, health care partners, business and community partners, the conference was well received.
In 2013, we anticipate reaching 1,200members of the Asian communityat our 12th Annual Health Fair and over 500 guests at our 30thAnnual Conference.Please, view the details sponsorship packages (below) to choose the level of sponsorship that your organization would like to sponsor.
