Marketing Assistant
Skagit Horticulture is looking for a part-time Marketing Assistant for its Mount Vernon, WA location. This position provides support to the marketing department in designing online and print media, creating engaging social media content, and maintaining the company image library.
Required skills:
· Excellent Adobe CC skills, particularly in Indesign, PhotoShop and Illustrator.
· Comfortable with all major social media platforms. Experience using Hootsuite or other social media management apps a strong plus.
· Knowledge of digital photography.
· Comfortable using both Windows and iOS platforms.
· Thorough command of the English language. Able to proof copy for proper grammar and punctuation.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Background in horticulture, or strong knowledge of ornamental plants.
· Experienced in writing copy, including articles and press releases.
· Experience with designing brochures and catalogs.
· Knowledge of Constant Contact, Mail Chimp or other marketing automation platforms.
The ideal candidate will be highly creative; have a positive, fun-loving attitude; and be able to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a rapidly growing company. A willingness to work as few as 10, and as many as 30, hours per week is highly preferred.
