1.Create a fake newspaper front pagewith headlines and articles related to the major events that occur inThe Crucible. Your final paper front page needs to have: a title for your newspaper, one major headline and brief “to be continued on page ?” article and picture, two minor headlines and even briefer “to be continued on page ?” articles, and other layout details that are associated with newspaper front pages (sections, a date, etc,). For full credit, your poster needs to have clear (no pencil) writing, evidence of attention to detail, and color.

2.Createa wanted poster.Imagine that one of the accused witches has disappeared. Underneath the picture, write their name in large, bold letters. Your wanted poster needs to include: a quick list of your character’s vital statistics, a paragraph that thoroughly describes their crime(s), the reward for their return, a picture of the character, and any other layout details that may be associated with wanted posters. For full credit, your poster needs to have clear (no pencil) writing, evidence of attention to detail, and color. The following list of 7 questions must be answered in complete sentences about the character you choose. They can be taped to the back of the poster.

EXAMPLE: FBI WANTED POSTER

1. Would you consider this character perceived as “good” or “bad” by other characters in the play? Give an example that supports your claim.

2. Does this character deserve to be “wanted”? Why or why not?

3. Name a major event in the play in which this particular character is involved.

4. Name at least two other characters with which this particular character is involved.

5. Name a disagreement your chosen character had with another character in the play:

6. What is your personal opinion of this character? Upon what evidence are you basing your opinion?

7. Choose a theme from The Crucible & explain how your c hosen character relates to that theme.

3.Create a character type posterthat illustrates all of the dynamic/round characters, static/flat characters, and foil characters (if any) found inThe Crucible. You will need to show or explain on your poster what makes a character one of these types, all of the characters in the play that fit into the category, and a brief one-two sentence description of why each fits into the particular category.For full credit, your poster needs to have clear (no pencil) writing, evidence of attention to detail, and color.

4.Create a main character relationship posterthat illustrates the relationships between the main characters ofThe Crucible(John Proctor, Elizabeth Proctor, Abigail Williams, Reverend Parris, Reverend Hale, and Giles Corey). You need to show: how they are related, aphysical description, and character traits associated with the character. You may illustrate the physical description with a picture if you want. For full credit, your poster needs to have clear (no pencil) writing, evidence of attention to detail, and color.

5. Create aconflict posterillustrating the multiple conflicts and arguments in the play between the Proctor’s, the Putnam’s, the Corey’s, the Paris’s, and the girls. Show whom the conflicts are between, whether or not they are resolved, and a short description of who is involved in the conflict. For full credit, your poster needs to have clear (no pencil) writing, evidence of attention to detail, and color.
