Qualifications

We are looking for a Head of School who has:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and Degree
  • NPQH (National Professional Qualification for Headship) Optional

Experience - we hope you will evidence:

  • Significant Primary Education experience/knowledge– KS1/2/Early years
  • Successful strategic leadership and management
  • Continued professional development
  • Significant knowledge and understanding of the new Ofsted framework and inspection process
  • Asystematic and committed approach to performance management and continuous professional development of all school staff.
  • Motivating and managing a large team of staff

Leading Teaching and Learning – we hope you will evidence:

  • Raising standards ofteaching, learning, and achievement
  • Maintaining high standards of behaviour and attendance whilst ensuring an ethos of challenge and support of pupils and parents in order to achieve success
  • Developing a creative curriculum with innovative teaching and learning strategies.
  • The ability to access, analyse and interpret relevant performance data and communicate this effectively to staff and governors in order to facilitate school improvement.
  • A passion for children’s academic, emotional, physical, spiritual and social development.
  • Dedication to theextra-curricular life of the school.

Management – we hope you will evidence the ability:

  • To manage self-evaluation of our school and its performance.
  • To manage change effectively.
  • To delegate management tasks and monitor their implementation.
  • To foster an ethos of professional development and leadership skills within the school community
  • To have a progressive attitude towards the use and application of information and communication technology.
  • To analyse information accurately and produce pertinent action plans and reports
