October is disAbility & Employment Awareness Month and City College is having a month long celebration! Join us for the following activities as we continue to promote equity, embrace diversity, reduce stigma, raise awareness and discover the Gold Medalist in Us All!

October 12: Students, come & learn about the services that the Department of Rehabilitation provides by attending an orientation from 12:00-12:30 in MS 152

October 19: Pop by Curran Plaza for some popcorn from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM and “Pop” the stigma surrounding disability

October 21: DSPS Transfer Workshop: Students, come learn about everything you need to do to prepare for Cram Jam and to complete your CSU application! Transfer Center (M-101) from 10:00-11:00

October 26: Pop by BT Plaza for some popcorn from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM and “Pop” the stigma surrounding mental health conditions

October 26: Student Equity Presents: The Gold Medalist in Us All: Students, Faculty and Staff are invited to attend a workshop led by Oz Sanchez; Paralympic Medalist, Veteran and Motivational Speaker in MS 162 from 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM (Flex Credit Available)

October 27: Students come & hear from an employer panel about employment with the County of San Diego in MS 164 from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM. A collaboration of Workability III, College 2 Career, DSPS, and the County of San Diego.

October 31: Students, come & learn about the free legal support and resources that Disability Rights California can provide to you from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Location: TBD
