Use the P: Drive for storing personal files instead of your local computer hard drive (C: drive) / Benefits of storingyour personal files on the P: Drive include:
  • Access your files from any location on any computer (use Citrix for off campus access. Details below)
-A failed computer does not prevent access to files.
  • Data is backed up nightly.
-Accidentally deleted files may be retrieved from back-ups.
  • Files accessible to the owner only.

Use the S: Drive to safely store files you wish to share with others on the network. / Store files you share with collaborators, for the same benefits listed above and the following:
  • Files accessible to specific groups of collaborators.
  • Individuals can be added and removed to/from groups quickly.

Use Citrixto access files on your P: and S: drives when you are not on campus. /
  • Allows users to access secured networked files and university applications when off campus or using wireless connections.
