2010 is the year for the 3D film – with all the best blockbusters being released in glorious 3D allowing audiences to have a real experience at the cinema.The Ambassadors Cinemas, Woking had a brand new 3D projection system installed in Screen 1 this January – with huge success from the very start. The opening weekend of Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, generated a record number of tickets sold for one screen in one day sinceThe Ambassadors Cinemas opened in 1992.

Following on from this success, The Ambassadors Cinemas are pleased to announce that another new leading 3D projection system is to be installed this July in Screen 4, allowing not only more choice of 3D films but more screenings of the eagerly anticipated blockbusters to be released this year.

Trainee Projectionist, David Knight said; ‘Since seeing the new 3D films here at the Ambassadors, it has blown me away, it makes seeing a film even more of an exciting experience and I feel that 3D is the way films are meant to be seen!’

With Shrek Forever After now showing and fantastic 3D films such as Toy Story 3, Cats & Dogs – The Revenge of Kitty Galore, Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows Pt1, Resident Evil, The Last Airbender and Saw VII released in the next six months alone it’s an exciting time for those who love film!

The installation of this new technology continues to provide the very best cinema experience and further reinforces why the cinema was awarded Best UK Independent Cinema for 2009.

Open 7 days a weeks with numerous screenings throughout the afternoon and evening, the venue caters for everyone.
