The Mothers and Others Banquet will be Friday, May 5 at 6:30 p.m. in the Social Hall. Our entertainers will be the “60’s Chicks,” who now sing in Branson, MO. Tickets are on sale today in the church lobby and are also available in the church office during the week. Tickets are $8 for adults, $4 for children 4—12 and children under 3 are free.

Seniors who wish to apply for one of the Scholarships offered by EvUCC must turn in paperwork by May 8th.

Senior Recognition Sunday will be May 21st . The Board of Christian Ed would like to recognize the accomplishments of ALL graduating Seniors: high school and college. If you are a graduate, please let the office know so we can recognize you in Church! High School Seniors please bring a wallet-size senior pic and bio (sent to you in the mail) to the office by May 14th.

STAMP OUT HUNGER – Local Postal carriers will be collecting nonperishable food donations on Saturday, May 13 for the 25th Annual National Association of Letter Carriers “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive. Place your donations in a bag by your mailbox that morning and your postal carrier will collect them for distribution by HACSM. The greatest needs: cereal, oatmeal, macaroni and cheese, saltines, graham crackers, pudding mixes, Hamburger and Tuna Helper, canned pasta, canned fruit, soups, carrots, beets, spinach, sauerkraut and tomatoes.

Please note that Vacation Bible School will be June 5th – June 9th . We are looking for volunteers to help us with a classes, crafts, decorating, games, food prep as we prepare for Please let us know asap if you can help with any part of VBS by contacting Darlene or the church office 654-7459.

Items Needed at Sunshine Ministries (Men’s Homeless) Shelter… is in need of the following items: Tooth Paste, Tooth Brushes, Lotion, Shaving Cream, Shower Shoes, Men’s Underwear and Socks, Crossword Puzzles, and Word Search Books. Items can be deposited in the box located in the Lobby through Sunday, May 21. Several men from the church will be going to the Shelter on the evening of May 24 to serve the evening meal to the residents, and will deliver the items at that time. We will leave the church parking lot at 5 pm and be back between 7:30-8 pm. If interested in going, please call Gene Redman at 654-3647. We’d love to have you join us!

NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER is May 4th. This year we'll host an ecumenical (all-churches) community service at Highland Hope at 7pm. We'll have free hot-dogs and apple pie! Come pray together as a community!
