EHRAC-Memorial Joint project

Memorial Human Rights Centre works in partnership with the European Human Rights Advocacy Centre (EHRAC), which is based at LondonMetropolitanUniversity. This joint initiative operates from a dedicated project office within the Memorial HRCin Moscow and in five other regional offices.This project was previously funded by the European Commission and is now supported by multiple grant-making trusts and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the British Government.

EHRAC’s primary objective is to assist individuals, lawyers and NGOs within the Russian Federation to take cases to the European Court of Human Rights, whilst working to transfer skills and build the capacity of the Russian human rights community. The EHRAC-Memorial project is currently working on over 200 European Court cases. EHRAC also works in partnership with other Russian NGOs and with the Georgian NGO, the Georgian Young Lawyers’ Association (GYLA). The EHRAC-Memorial joint project is looking to recruit a Project Co-ordinator to work in the EHRAC-Memorial HRC Moscow office. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant contribution to the development of the next stages of an established and respected international human rights project, and the means to gain valuable experience and useful skills to further your professional development.

Project Coordinator

The successful candidate will be proficient in basic computer packages (Microsoft Office), have experience of office and financial administration and be fluent in English. The duties will include: project co-ordination, monitoring project progress, document management and administration; basic reporting; coordinating print publications, event organisation (training workshops, roundtables, travel and accommodation arrangements), communication and dissemination of information. The position will involve regular contact with EHRAC in the UK and with the Memorial regional lawyers in the North Caucasus and Saint-Petersburg.

Salary: from34500RUR per month including income tax commensurate with experience
