The European American Enterprise Council (EAEC) is a private member-driven organization and network (8 US and EU chapters) that aims at promoting Transatlantic cooperation, collaboration and business between European and North-American companies, institutions and economic regions while fostering Innovation, International Trade, Investment and Entrepreneurship. Check our bi-annual even USAWeekin Europe and our annual MatchFest at CES event in las Vegas.
Our goal and main focus is to advise, support and assist both European companies wishing to establish themselves or invest in North America, and North American companies wishing to do business or invest in Europe by advising them, offering them access to the right distribution channels and decision-making ecosystems/hubs, leading them through the entire market development process, and helping them achieve their revenue and expansion goals (EAEC4R’s Acceleration Services & Programs).
Description:
The intern will:
-Provide support to staff in marketing and business development projects by assisting in market research, marketing plan write ups, and leads database development.
-Organize and attend business meetings and events, and interact with potential EAEC prospects, clients and partners - to develop communication and negotiation skills.
-Assist in building and maintaining business contacts/relationships and opportunities with companies interested in EAEC’s activity; social media and blogging daily activities included.
-Assist daily marketing activities promoting Enterprise Europe Network’s database of Business/Technology Offers/Requests and transatlantic collaborative Research and Innovation projects.
-Last but not least, help promote our next series of events (@ SXSW, Austin included) to the local startup community including to local accelerators, business angel groups and venture capital firms.
Requirements for Intern Candidates:
-Have knowledge and interest in marketing strategies, professional networking, international business development and technology.
-Excellent Internet research and Social Media usage skills.
-Comfortable with Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
-InDesign and web design experience a plus.
-Be fluent in English. French and Spanish a plus.
-Be highly motivated, take initiative, complete required task in a timely manner and have excellent communication skills.
