- Arbitration-method of conflict resolution where a third party decides the issue; the decision must be accepted by the two sides

- Litigation-method of conflict resolution where one party takes another party to court and a judge decides the issue
- Mediation-method of conflict resolution where a third party helps the two sides reach an agreement; the decision does not have to be accepted
