Description and Requirements
- Awards ranging from five hundred to one thousand dollars ($500-$1,000) will be awarded to graduating high school seniors selected by the scholarship committee. Applicants must beattending high school in Orange or Seminole counties.
- The announcement of Scholarship winners will be made at your local High School Awards Ceremony. Please provide the date and time for your high school event on page five of the application.
- Each applicant must provide the following before being considered:
(a)Complete the scholarship application
(b)Copy of official high school transcript
(c)Two letters of recommendation from representatives of school, church, or community.
(d)Documentation of active involvement in community service and/or extracurricular activities, such as social clubs, civic groups, sports, or vocational activities not necessarily directly related to school functions.
(e)Write a 500 word essay on:”What can be done to assure that American citizens do not lose their voting rights and that they regain any rights that have been lost in recent legislative changes?”
(f)Essay must be typed, double spaced, Times New Romans, 12 pt. font.
(g)Include senior picture with application.

***SPECIAL NOTICE***
- The applicant must provide Bridge Builders Foundation a copy of the paid receipt of enrollment on or before September 15th, 2016. Upon receipt of this documentation, Bridge Builders will promptly send the recipient a check in the amount equal to the total scholarship award.
- Scholarship recipients will be selected at the sole discretion of the Bridge Builders Foundation’s, scholarship evaluation criteria.
