ORGANIZATION

Establish a location for your “office”

~You need one place in your home for all of your business materials and items. This can be a room, a table, a file drawer, a closet, or even a box or crate. Just determine where it is, and be consistent about keeping everything related to your business there.

Supplies

~See handout for a list of required and/or recommended supplies.

Filing System

~Establish a filing system and stick to it. If you don’t have time to file something, place it in your in-box in order to keep everything in a central location and avoid misplacing it.

~Create Show Files

- 1 file for each show, with hostess name and date of show on file

- File them alphabetically

- Each show file should contain the following: copy of invitation, hostess information form, hostess receipt; customer receipts, copy of homeshow as submitted to Premier; customer surveys and any miscellaneous items relating to that show

~Create Receipts/Expenses Files

- tracking your expenses is vital to this business. It will save you much money every year on taxes. It’s not hard. You just need a system, and you need to follow it!

- See handout for more detail

~Create Forms/Miscellaneous Files

- hostess receipts

- customer receipts

- address labels/guest lists

- post card invitations (if you use the pre-printed ones from Premier)

- wish lists

- surveys

- replacement/exchange forms

- catalog/book show receipts

- opportunity brochures

- Distributor Application and Agreement

- New Jeweler Sample Package Order

- Recommendations and Suggestions

- Training Verification

- Premier Card application

- Premier Card point redemption chart

- ARRC statements

- checking account statements

- monthly commission volume report

- Premier Card statements

- retail certificates earned, but not yet redeemed

- wholesale orders

- correspondence from Premier Designs

- Jeweler data forms

- name tags

Setting up Miscellaneous Accounts

~checking account. Just open a regular account, don’t announce that it’s for your business, or the bank will charge you outrageous fees!

~Propay. This allows you to accept Mastercard, Visa, Discover and American Express). There’s a small annual fee, but it’s worth it. When your customers learn that you accept credit cards, they often spend even more . . . so your profit increases!

~Email account. If you don’t have one, get one. This is critical. Be sure to check it at least daily. Much of the communication from your upline will come to you via email.

~Premier Designs website. Once you have your jeweler number, log in and get familiar with all the things on this site. This is where you’ll submit your shows, place and track orders, order supplies, find out about promotions, etc.

CUSTOMER CARE

~This is an on-going event, not a one-time thing. Our business is based on relationships. They don’t happen instantly, they are developed and nurtured.

~People do business with people they like, know and trust. Additionally, they do business with people their friends refer them to!

~Make calls to your customers once they receive their jewelry. This includes hostesses as well as their guests. “Hi, Marie. You should have received your Sienna necklace and Crystal Threads earrings by now. How do you like your new jewelry?” This simple task could lead to additional sales (“By the way, my product of the month/week is ______. It’s 10% off. Would you be interested?”), possible bookings, an Opportunity Presentation, or just simply making another human feel important! She’ll remember you took the time!

~Stay in touch with previous hostesses – postcards, monthly specials, etc.

~Good customer service will take you further than you ever imagined possible.

~Promptly handle Replacements/Exchanges with a smile on your face. This is an awesome opportunity to nurture a relationship!

~Follow up with every commitment you make. If you say you’ll do something, do it well, and at the exact time you said you would!

SPONSORING

Sharing the Business Opportunity

~Be aware of potential jewelers you meet . . . they may be at your shows, people you already know, and people you meet by chance. In the back of your mind, you should always have the question, “Who do I know that could benefit from what Premier has to offer?”

~Always have sponsoring packets assembled and in your possession. (see handout)

~Be Dazzled By Diamonds (every month prior to training meeting)

~Learn to do an O/P. Attend them even if you don’t have a guest.
