Minutes of meeting held on 10th March 2014 in Dores Parish Hall 7.30pm

3. Adoption of Previous Minute (27th January 2014):

Minutes approved with the following alteration to item 4. – as regards the Small Communities Housing Trust - Hard copy of the Feasibility Study to be distributed (NOT Community Impact Assessment as stated). Proposed: Gavin Finlay Seconded: Ella MacRae

4. Matters Arising from Previous Minute:

Small Communities Housing Trust – Feasibility Study available electronically on request EMacR

SSE Published information re substation now available on request EMacR

Fish Farm – ongoing

Winter Resilience - No feedback from Highland Council Action: RMacK Church of Scotland – ongoing

Roads and Signs – ongoing

Throw in buoys – SF to supply E MacR with information gathered to date Action: SF

LEADER – Final issue is to sort match funding re new cycle shelter. Action: SH

Bus shelter clearance – Community Services programmed to look at this next week

War Memorial – ongoing work being done by Roddy Ross and Donnie MacIntosh

Draft Green Transport Strategy – open for comment until 30th April – see Dores Website

Local Energy Scotland – re Renewables

Scottish Water - feedback re their service. Meeting Wed 12th 6pm (Cllr MD GF attend?)

Local Government Boundary Commission – 5th review for electoral arrangements

Highland Council –review of Service Points

Police Report – no accidents or incidents. Only report re problem with someone scam selling non-existent holiday lets at Invermoriston

Community Council Insurance Policy Schedule – passed to John Hedger

Litter Pick – March 23rd 10.30 – see Dores Website or speak to John Hedger

6. Treasurer’s Report

Still have £60,000 due back to Dores Community Development Trust

Total Council funds held are £1602.18

7. Dores Community Development Trust

Community Council Members for 2014 – Duncan Manson and Steve Feltham

8. Water, Sewage, Roads

-Drainage on Dores Road very bad in recent spell of heavy rain. Cllr DH will arrange meeting with Council engineers and EMacR to identify areas and initiate remedial action.

-Road at LochNess Lodges still of concern

-Dores triangle- still awaiting action to replace signs. Give Way sign flickering

9. Planning

- Ruairidh Campbell – extension of renovation of current steading including re establishing bridge crossing. Council endorsed.

- Ian & Marsalli Munro –looking for ‘planning in principle’ for second house on land which currently hold a Section 75 clause specifying no further building. Council neutral but recommend that applicants speak to council planners as may need more reason to set aside Section 75.

- Roddy Ross – proposal for new house in land behind Torr Gardens. Some concern over road access and also side entrance to playpark especially during building phase. Council support plan with above concern.

- John Cairns– to extend into all of outbuildings for storage.

10. AOCB

RockNess – no further information but will not be held in June

South Loch Ness Heritage Group – doing a study of locals involved in First World War

Secretary – Sarah Harley now on electoral roll. Proposed that she now be elected as Secretary Proposed: EMacR Seconded: SF

Japanese Knotweed – reported large areas on beach. On land belonging to both Iain Cameron and also Alastair Grant. Landowners required to take action
