Role Overview
The incumbent will be reporting to Head of Finance Shared Service, responsible to provide comprehensive support by ensuring a robust Project Accounting process is in place and project costing is properly track & monitor throughout the entire lifecycle of the project. This incumbent will maintain an effective link between Project Management Team, Development Team, Finance and HR Shared Service Team.The key accountabilities are also include building a strong working relationship with the stakeholders, and ensure the service is delivery in accordance to the defined SLAs/KPIs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
§ Ensure each project is properly carried out with a budget & business case approved by the Project Committee.
§ Ensure the project cost is properly analyse and classified based on the accounting standard.
§ Closely monitor and track the project spending within the approved budget & business case. Provide early warning to Project Committee (incl. Business Owner) if project spending potentially exceeding the approved budget per business case.
§ Ensure the Project Accounting process is fully executed and provide guidance to the stakeholders (if required).
§ Provide accounting advise (if required) to the stakeholders.
§ Closely track to ensure Project and Development team follow the required process to log their time into JIRA system.
§ Ensure all project costs (including staff costs) are accurately allocated into the assigned Project Code and record accurately into NAV (Financial System).
§ Coordinate with Record to Report (R2R) team to ensure timely and accurately project cost settlement upon project completion and ensure depreciation/amortisation performed within the useful life.
§ Provide periodic project financial report to the Management, to the agreed timetables, showing budget, forecast, committed and actual performance, with breakdown of costs and written commentary.
§ Ensure project budgets and plans are kept up to date to reflect progress and changes to assumptions, including any reforecast as required.
§ Ensure the Project Accounting process is efficient and in compliance by design the controls into the process and own the process controls.
§ Identify, facilitate and implement process improvement ideas to improve process efficiencies.

Education
Degree in Finance and Accountancy.
Experiences
§ 3 to 5 years of experience in Finance Reporting. Project Accounting experience is a plus.
§ Must have a track record of delivery across all of these processes and a knowledge of the current best practice.
