Regular Monthly Meeting Minutes

Call to Order and Roll Call – Meeting was called to order at 7:02 PM.

Board Members Present: Amy Sundquist, Scott Denome, Tabitha Marchese, Brent Krutina, Mike Sands, Kim Milligan, Bob Martinson, Maureen Nelson

Board Members Absent: Lynn Martinson, Paul Crowe

General: Mike Lasecki, Pat Labre

Secretary’s Report: October meeting minutes approved; Motion by Scott Denome and 2nd by Mike Sands.

Treasurer’s Report –October Treasurer’s report approved; Motion by Mike Sands and seconded by Tabitha Marchese.

Division Director’s Reports:

Mites(Dawn Belongie) – Nothing to report

Squirts (Bob Martinson) – Nothing to report

PeeWee – (Kevin Mayville) –Nothing to report

Bantam (Derek Buchbinder) – Nothing to report

IP(Kim Milligan) – Nothing to report

Midget –Nothing to report

Concerns of the General Membership:

Mike Lasecki – IP players – one squirt age Drake Degnan skate with squirt and IP. Jesse Liss skate with Bantams. Not ready for games. Just getting experience with respective teams.

Pat Labre – Where do coaches stand with children having symptoms of concussion and parents won’t take the child to the doctor? Have Medical Clearance to Return to Play Form signed by doctor.

Mugs – Sell in concession stand. Pat will check with Anita.

Old Business –

  • Blueline, Complex and EAJHA purchased soundboard
  • By-Law - postponed
  • Volunteer Hours Update - spreadsheet will be put on website this weekend
  • EAJHA Insurance
  • Cancellation signed by Amy for last coverage
  • Kim is still checking

New Business-

  • Mites move up procedure
  • Need a procedure to follow for move up
  • Form committee with deadline for reviewing move ups (IP & Mite Director along with respective coaches)

Complex (Borman) – Borman will be at December meeting

Sponsors (M.Nelson) – Sponsor tab added to website

Coaches (Sands) – Start utilizing website with scores

EAJHA Growth Coordinator (Sands) –Nothing to report

Scheduling (Amy Sundquist) –Nothing to report

Awards & Pictures –

Equipment (B. Martinson) – Several families donated equipment – send out thank you’s

Fundraising (Krutina) – Open skate, mugs, pop can drive $5200 projected. Dinner of some sort is being worked on. Possibly use Culver’s for percentage. Plan a summer activity possibly pig roast at Pioneer Trail Park.

Referees (Holmio) – Question regarding sibling referring sibling’s team. Unless an issue arises there is no problem with it.

Sportsmanship & Behavior (Denome) – Two Star Reports received for Cory Mylander and Jen Sebeck. Meeting will take place on Monday.

Safesport (Crowe) – Nothing to report.

Registration (Marchese) – 113 registered so far

CUPHL – Nothing to report.

NIHL – Nothing to report.

MAHA – Nothing to report.
