SUBMISSIONS: NOVA's Ernst Community Cultural Center invites PVW members to displayoriginal paintings in their Verizon Gallery. One painting per artist. All work must be predominantly watermedia. No reproductions (including giclees) will be allowed. Paintings should have been painted within the last 5 years and not have been hung in any previous, regular PVW Exhibition. (Paintings displayed at the St. Andrews Show and Ingleside at Rock Creek Exhibition are admissible.) Any work with a dimension larger than 30" must be framed using Plexiglas. All paintings must be equipped with standard hanging hardware with eye hooks, clean mats and no scratches on the glass or frames. Please refer to the attached PVW Guidelines or go to the PVW Website, Members Only Page, Guidelines on Exhibiting for additional information.
ENTRY FEE AND REGISTRATION: There is a $15 entry fee. There are two ways to register, pay and volunteer: (1) Go to: and login with username and password. (Please contact Debby Conn if you do not have a username and password.) Click on “Events & Registrations,” select “NOVA” and follow the instructions or (2)mail your registration to the address on the registration form.
PRICING: All work must be for sale. Please indicate your BASE priceonly on the entry form. (We will add a 6% VA state sales tax to your base price and this price will appear on the painting label. The purchaser will pay the total price and you will be responsible for paying the sales tax.)
COMMISSION: If you sell a painting, a 20% commissionon the pre-tax amount will be payable by you to NVCC Educational Foundation.
SHOW INVITATIONS: E-invitations will be available on our website. Printedpostcards will be available to participating artists who indicate on their entry form that they would like to receive them.
ARTISTS BIO BOOK: Each participating artist will have one 8.5x11 transparent sleeve in our biographies notebook. Please send your bio with your registration form or bring it to receiving. (Bio books do not travel from show to show. You will need to provide one even if you have done so for other shows.)
AWARDS: Awards chosen by our judgewill be presented at the receptionas follows:
