1981-2005 Staff, Division of Internal Medicine, Hôtel-Dieu Hospital of Montreal. One half day at the Internal Medicine out-patient clinic. Two months attending in the Internal Medicine. Clinical Teaching Unit and/or in-patient consultation service in Internal Medicine.
1991-2005 Director of the Hypertension Clinic, Clinical Research Institute of Montreal.
2006- Physician-in-Chief, SMBD-Jewish General Hospital.
2006- Director, Cardiovascular Prevention Centre, SMBD-Jewish General Hospital.

TEACHING
1981-2005
Undergraduate: Courses to 4th year medical students at Hôtel-Dieu Hospital, 1 hour per month. During the 2 months as attending at CTU, rounds with 4th year medical students 9-12 hours per week.
Graduate: At the lab in the Clinical Research Institute of Montreal, teaching to Graduate students (Ph.D. students). Teaching during weekly 1 hour lab meetings and 1 hour seminars of the Hypertension Group.
Postgraduate: For 15 years was during 2 months as attending at the CTU at Hôtel-Dieu Hospital, and when on Consultation service, still currently do rounds with R1, R2 and R3s in Internal Medicine 9-12 hours per week. At the out-patient clinic in Internal Medicine at Hôtel-Dieu Hospital, 2 hours/week of supervision of R3s.
At the Clinical Research Institute, occasionally 2 hours/week of supervision of R3s in the Hypertension Clinic. Teaching to postdocs (post Ph.D. and M.D.) as described for Graduate students.
Numerous seminars nationally and internationally (see below), some part of postgraduate medical education programs.
Member of the pedagogical commitee in Internal Medicine at the University of Montreal 1989-1992.

RESEARCH

Director of the Experimental Hypertension Laboratory, of the Hypertension Clinic and of the Multidisciplinary Research Group on Hypertension at the Clinical Research Institute. This research activity occupies together with travel to give research seminars or present results of research at national or international meetings, or other research-related travel, 70-80% of time.

RESEARCH INTERESTS
Clinical and experimental hypertension, role and receptors for vasoactive peptides (angiotensin, endothelin, vasopressin) and their intracellular signal transduction, resistance arteries in cardiovascular disease and more specifically in clinical and experimental hypertension, role of endothelium, cardiovascular hypertrophy and vascular remodeling, clinical pharmacology of hypertension, genetic determinants of hypertension.
