Claremorris Equestrian Centre and the Hanley family hosted the latest round of the Equestrian Interschools Ireland League on Sunday the 10th November. The competition attracted a number of local schools for whom it was their first foray into the Interschools league. In the open competition two teams finished on a clean slate and it was the Mercy Ballymahon teamofMegan Connell, Christopher Whyte, Derek Shaw & Christopher Connell who showed their Inter schools experience when winning out against a determined challenge from local school Colaiste Colman’s representatives Stephen McGowan, Cormac Hanley & Luke Gibbons. Whilst Colaiste Colman posted a faster time in the jumpoff an unlucky pole on the ground deprived them of the win.Ursuline Sligo claimed 3rd. Ursuline was represented by Jennifer Burke, Emily Burke, Elisa O'Connor, Isabel Burke. Best Turned Out Prize went to CarrickCommunitySchool, Carrick-on-Shannon’

The novice team event was won outright by Mount St. Michael's, Claremorris A team of
Sandra Maloney, Ciara Hanley, Sarah McGuinness & Leanne Daly who were the only novice team to finish on zero. Joint second place went to the second Mount St. Michael's, Claremorris team (B) Chloe Goggins, Maeve Duffy, Lorraine Cribbin, Muireann Brady
and to Salerno Silver represented by Hannah McEvoy, Ellie Mai Sutton, Laoise Brennan & Grainne Regan

Claremorris hosted the latest qualifier for the HIS 110m class and first and second in this was claimed by Cormac Hanley. Hanley riding Indian Inspired was one second ahead of the time posted on his second mountLux Nice posting a very fast time of 29.53 seconds. 3 seconds adrift, Jennifer Mahon riding Outta Control claimed 3rd. the remaining qualifying places went to Christopher Whyte riding Pretty Boy, Megan Connell on Mosstown Smirnoff Ice and Elisa O'Connor riding Oilean Crunchie.

Hanley riding Lux Nice continued his run of good luck when beating off the determined challenge of Cian Harrison riding Lily and Cathal Duffy on Monard French Link to win the open individual also. The Novice Individual Challenge went to Ewan McHolm riding the Bobby Dazzler. Chloe Goggins riding Trendy Andy was second and Ciara Hanley riding Indie was third.
