Job Description:
In accordance with Assets, Inc. core values and mission, this position provides critical administrative support in a variety of human resources functional areas including recruiting, benefits, training and recordkeeping. Works collaboratively with the Human Resources Team on a variety of human resources related projects and initiatives.
This position may require de-escalating verbally or physically aggressive individuals according to identified procedures and individual client protocols.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Adheres to and demonstrates Assets, Inc. core values, mission, policies, procedures and compliance plan in the performance of all aspects of this position.
- Ensures all Employment Applications and Transfer/Promotion Requests are processed in a timely manner and distributed to the hiring supervisors.
- Conducts new hire intakes in accordance with internal procedures and standards. Assists news employees with new hire paperwork.
- Verifies and maintains I-9 Forms.
- Coordinates the criminal background check process. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Processing background check requests and results.
- Fingerprinting new employee.
- Maintaining the background check database.
- Processing background check related payments.
- Responsible for maintaining employee, recruitment and benefits files according to the company’s recordkeeping procedures and standards.
- Enters sensitive and critical employment related information into the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and other human resources applications.
- Assists the HR Team with special projects and tasks. This includes, but is not limited to the following:
- Performing benefits data entry in the HRIS and provider websites as requested.
- Assists with preparing for benefit renewal meetings.
- Participating in job fairs and other community events.
- Assisting with various training related tasks such as preparing and setting up for trainings.
- Providing general clerical support: filing, phone coverage, supply ordering, photocopying, scheduling meetings, typing, posting and distributing, updating bulletin boards, etc.
- Fields a wide range of employee inquiries regarding all aspects of HR and provides immediate assistance or refers employees to the appropriate subject expert, as appropriate given the nature of the inquiries and the incumbent's level of training and expertise.
- Provides information on job opportunities to potential applicants.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
