Environment Agency / Members requested a further update on the work being carried out in Salford following attendance at the May 2011 SC. Possible issues to be considered:-

Gypsies and Travellers – Protocol for Managing Unauthorised Encampments / Members requested that following the presentation at the meeting held on 20th June, 2011 the issue be revisited in the future, to examine the operation of the protocol in practice and any impact the closure of the Salford Magistrates Court on the eviction process / Sarah Clayton - Head of Service Strategy and Enabling and members of the Steering Group
Gypsies and Travellers – Educational Support / Overview of educational support given to young people from traveller communities and initiatives to encourage them to remain in full time education until 16 years of age. / Strategic Director of Children Services and
