Environmental Evaluation Criteria
The environmental evaluation criteria comprises of three areas:
A: Environmental Resources
B: High level implementation plan
C: Environmental costing:These costs must be submitted with the budgets/financial documentation with the pricing data
AREA A: Environmental ResourcesREQUIREMENT / WHAT SHOULD THE SUPPLIER SUBMIT / YES/NO / COMMENT
- Human resources for the Transportation includes either an Environmental Officer or alternative resource for the implementation of environmental requirements as per the RFP / Contract
- An organogram indicating the environmental position or alternative resourcefor the implementation of environmental requirements as per the RFP / Contract
- The Environmental resource is qualified
- A Curriculum Vitae indicating
- Any National Diploma or Bachelor of Technology or Bachelors Degree, and
- Knowledge of the Environmental Management System ISO 14001:2004/2015 and implementationand
- Knowledge of Environmental Legislation.
- High level implementation plan is completed, see area B below

- High level implementation plan for environmental requirements for: (Insert company name)
Policy/ Procedure / Standard / Responsible person for implementation. (Please provide the position – must link back to organogram) / Who will be briefed or trained on the policy/procedure/standard? / What records will be kept? / What resources (People, funds, equipment, and time) are required for this policy/procedure/standard?

AREA C: Environmental Costing
REQUIREMENT / WHAT SHOULD THE SUPPLIER SUBMIT
- Environmental Costing:
- Spill Handling: Costs for spill handling (coal spillages / limestone and / or hydrocarbons)
5.3.Environmental Resource: Cost for Environmental Resource or alternative person / 5. Environmental costing
5.1.1 The cost of spill kits (as per the identified source) containing the (minimum contents): spill sorbent, spill pillows, broom, spade and container.
(As a minimum each LDV should have a spill kit).
5.2Waste Management
5.2.1 The different waste streams to be identified.
5.2.2 Cost for clean-up and disposal of spillages by an independent third party
5.3Environmental Resource
5.3.1 Cost for resource for implementation of environmental requirements as per the RFP / Contract
