John Brotherton thanked Karin LaGreca for her leadership and planning for Mahwah Day. Residents were happy to receive the reusable bags which Karin solicited. They were donated by Pathmark, Inserra Shop Rite and Stop and Shop. Thank you letters will be sent to those businesses.
Karin stated she appreciated the assistance from the Mahwah Environmental Volunteers Club. They made display posters for Mahwah Day. The club is planning a clean up on October 18th in the afternoon. Karin introduced them to contacts at DPW so they can go there directly to get equipment such as gloves and trash bags. The DPW suggested Lake Henry as a site in need of clean up work.
John Spiech suggested giving the Club the contact information on Trout Unlimited for them to find out when events are going on in Mahwah. J. DeWan will get the contact information.
