Millennium Place pool is 25 meters. The races are short course format with 10 lanes. We will be using the Ares timing system.

- ELIGIBILITY
All swimmers currently registered with SNC or a FINA affiliated club,are eligible. This is an open swim meet. No qualifying times are required. Coach’s estimates are required. No Time entries will not be accepted. All current Swimming/Natation Canada (SNC) rules will be followed.
- AGE GROUPS
There will be FIVE age groups:
Girls: 8 and under, 9–10, 11–12, 13–14, 15 and over
Boys: 9 and under, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15, 16 and over
- SEEDING
All events will be seeded from SLOWEST TO FASTEST and by gender, except for timed finals.
TIMED FINALS: For the 400 IM, 400 Free, 800 Free, all relays
400 IM, 400 Free, and 800 Free will be seeded FASTEST TO SLOWEST
400 IM, 200 Butterfly, and 800 Free will be limited to Girls 11 & up and Boys 12 & up
- MEET RULES
This meet is sanctioned by Swim Alberta, abiding by the rules and regulations ofSwimming/Natation Canada and FINA, contained in the SNC rule book and IPC unlessotherwise stipulated in this meet package.
Please note: Anti-doping control will NOT be conducted during the competition; as a result, record setting performances will not be recognized by IPC Swimming. (Please refer to IPC Competition Approval Guidelines).
- ENTRY LIMITS
Swimmers are limited to a MAXIMUM OF SEVEN (7) events.
The 400 & 800 Free MAY be swum with two swimmers per lane and only front crawl will be permitted. Meet management reserves the right to limit the number of 400 and 800 Free swimmers beyond the host teams entries based on the time / date of the entry submission (including updated files). Some entrants will be required to wear identifying swim caps.
The Meet is limited to 250 swimmers. Entries will be filled on a first come, first serve basis, based on the arrival time of the entry packages. The meet manager reserves the right to limit the number of swimmers from individual teams. The Meet Manager will use his discretion to expand this limit in striving to accommodate all swimmers from the same club in the last eligible entry.
- ENTRIES AND ENTRY FEES
The entry feesare $7.50 per individual timed final event and $9.00 for those that have finals.Relays are $9.25 per swimmer. Entries are to be submitted on Hy-tek via the Swimming Canada SNC website. Deck entries will be limited to swimmers who have registered for the competition through the Swimming Canada on line system.
Deck entries will only be accepted to fill empty lanes. Deck entry fees will be double the original event fee. Deck entries are not eligible for finals.
- RESULTS
Results will be uploaded to the SNC website.
- OFFICIALS

- AWARDS
Individual Awards: Ribbons for 1st to 8th place for all events.
10. COACHES MEETING
There will be a coaches meeting on Friday, March 10, 2017at 11:30 p.m.on the pool deck announcement for location will be made.
11.SCRATCHES
The Swim Alberta scratch rule will be in effect for this competition.
Saturday scratches are to be submitted 30 minutes after the completion of the 200 FLY.
Sunday scratches are to be submitted 30 minutes after the completion of the 100 IM.
No shows for final sessions will result in the swimmer being scratched from all remaining events, including relays, scheduled for that day, as per the Swim Albertascratch rule.
12.RELAYS
All swimmers entered in the meet are eligible for relays.
Individual names must be submitted to the Clerk of Course at the conclusion of warm ups of the session in which the relay event is scheduled. No name changes will be accepted after this time.
13.MARSHALLING
Athletes are not to be on deck if not racing or marshaling. Athletes will have access to the supervised activity rooms to wait races and leave equipment and belongings. For comfort swimmers can bring sleeping bags or yoga mats. Announcements will be made in activity rooms of athletes being marshaled. Please ensure your swimmers are aware of this process.
14.PROGRAM CHANGES
The Meet Manager reserves the right to alter, revise or otherwise modify the program to ensure the maximum number of swims in sessions of reasonable length, following receipt of entries.
