RULES:
- All entry fees must accompany the official entry form. Entries close 5th August. No late or telephone entries allowed.
- All entries are subject to the various Rules and Regulations of the Society that are printed in the Official Schedule.
- ALL competitors must wear regulation head protection to current standards/breed society rules at all times when riding.
- All competitors take part at their own risk. The organisers do not hold themselves responsible for any accident that might occur to horse, rider, property or spectator.
- All stallions and colts 2 years old or over must be adequately bitted.
- Competitors are requested to be in the collecting ring before their class is due to commence, and in the case of jumping classes, to give their name and number to the Collecting Ring Steward.
- The decision of the judges will be regarded as final.
- All participants must hold a passport for each horse and carry Third Party Insurance for not less than £2m.
- Any objections must be made in writing to the General Secretary and be received by her within30 minutes of the judging. Any person lodging an objection shall deposit the sum of £20, the deposit to be forfeited should the objection not be sustained.
- All timings are approximate and subject to change and it is the competitor’s responsibility to present themselves in the ring for the start of their class.
- Local Riders must live in the parish of Ashover or within a five-mile radius of Ashover Parish Church.
- Ages are taken as at 1 January 2015

ENTRIES
This year, online entries are being accepted for some classes as well as paper entries. If you wish to enter online then please go to and search for Ashover Show. There is a 50p charge to cover the website fees.
PLEASE NOTE THAT CLASSES 1,2 & 3 ARE LIMITED TO 15 COMPETITORS. ENTRIES WILL BE ALLOCATED ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE BASIS.
Each competitor will be issued with an entry pass and one other pass into the show. Anyone else accompanying the competitor must purchase an entry ticket in advance. Failure to do this may result in you being refused entry to the lorry park.
If further advance tickets are required then please purchase these from or send payment and ticket requirements to the Light Horse Section Manager.
A pass will be issued for vehicles transporting horses. Spot checks will be made to ensure everyone entering the show has a ticket. EXHIBITOR PASSES ARE NON-TRANSFERABLE AND MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES.
