  1. Academic Summer Schoolregistration beginsTuesday, April 17, 2018, after 8:00 AM at EHS Guidance Department.All academic courses will be taught using computer web-based instruction. Students are to bring their own headphones. There will be no registration May 2425 due to graduation and grade processing, and May 28 due to the holiday. Registration deadline is June 1, 2018.

*Academic Courses will cost $200. per credit hour ($100. For ½ credit)

*Credit Recovery Courses will cost $25. per course

(Students work at their own pace and may complete early.)

SUMMER SCHOOL DRIVER EDUCATION

Driver Education Registration beginsThursday, April 5. THAT MORNING ONLY registration will be held at the Service Center, 1648 East Park Avenue, from 7:30through 10:00. Registration will resume at 1:00, at EHS Guidance Department if there are spaces available. There is a maximum of 60 students. Cost is $100.00 and successful completion results in one half credit.

Students MUST have a valid Driver’s Permit to take the class

May 29,30, 31, June 1 & 4, 8:00-2:00 - classroom instruction

Driving Groups June 7 through 22, as assigned by instructors

Completion date can fluctuate due to weather.

  1. STUDENTSREGISTERING FOR CREDIT RECOVERYMUST SEE A COUNSELOR BEFORE REGISTRATIONTO DETERMINE PROPER PLACEMENT.
  1. Only students previously failing a class with a final average of 40 are permitted to participate in credit recovery, at a cost of $25.00 per course. Only one course at a time will be registered. The student will take a pre-test. Only content not passed will be taken in Summer School. When the student completes assigned instruction, they will be released from Summer School.
  1. Students are enrolled in Summer School courses on the following basis:

A. Must be enrolled in the Enterprise City School System

B. Students that failed the course. Students NOT eligible for credit recovery must complete ALL instructional units

C. Space available

D. Students can take courses to get ahead in foreign language or electives, or one coreclass, with administrative approval

E. Enrichment courses

F. Remediation

  1. All academic students must report to the EHSPerforming Arts Center June 4 at 7:30 AM for orientation and room assignments. Classes will begin afterorientation.
  1. Academic classes meet from 7:30 - 12:00, Monday through Thursday. Students will receive a 15-minute break each day. No one is to leave campus during summer school for any reason without permission. All dental and doctor appointments should be made when school is not in session.
  1. ALL FEES MUST BE PAID AT REGISTRATION. Summer School is self-supporting andcourses are offered on the basis of enrollment and funds collected.
  1. For academic classes, complete refund of fees will be made only if a student does not begin the first day of classand properly withdraws. NO REFUNDS WILL BE MADE AFTER June 6, 2018. Refunds will be given on a percentage basis per day (1st day 75%, 2nd 50%, 3rd 25%). Due to limited seats, driver educationrefunds canonly be made prior to classroom instruction.All hours are required by the state in order to receive credit for the course.
  1. Discipline problems will not be tolerated in summer school. All rules and policies approved by the Enterprise City Board and Enterprise High School are in force during summer school. Students must be in good standing in regards to discipline to attend summer school.
  1. The Enterprise High School grading scale will determine the final grade.
  1. Courses will be offered in an on-line platform, determined by the school.

Credit Recovery offerings include:

Algebra, Algebra 1A, Algebra 1B, Geometry, Algebra 2, Algebra 2 with Trigonometry, World History, U S History 1 & 2, Government and Economics, Biology, Physical Science, Chemistry and Environmental Science.

*Any additional offerings will be determined by enrollment

  1. Both Government and Economics must be taken. Should a student take one semester and withdraw from Summer School, no credit will be given on a semester basis.
  1. Dress Code policy in the EHS student handbook will be enforced during summer school.
