1. Tiebreaks: As per the Sedibeng Chess system.
2. Prize giving will be held after the last round.
Tournament Arrangements
  1. Right of admission reserved;
  2. Accelerated Pairings might be used for bigger groups;
  3. No item may be sold or traded by any person other than those given permission by the tournament organizer in writing;
  4. By your entry into this tournament you hereby agree unconditionally to abide by all the rules and regulations;
  5. The organizers of the tournament are not responsible for the safety of players or their property;
  6. Players MUST provide their own chess pieces and clocks. The organisers will provide the chess boards.
Clocks not required for the Beginners Section;
  1. Cafeteria available. Chess equipment will be for sale.

Registration process
  1. Complete one registration form per player.Players are allowed to play in a higher section.
  2. Payments to: VUT Chess Club, FNB, Acc.74634423368, Branch Code 250655. SURNAME+NAME as reference.
  3. Email the completed registration form and proof of payment to Wilna de Koster at
  4. Closing date: Wednesday 09November2016 @ 20h00. Only players who have paid the entry fee will be included in thepairings for round 1. NO CHANGES TO THE PAIRINGS FOR THE FIRST ROUND WILL BE ALLOWED.
  5. Entries received after closing date and time will only participate if space is still available, with a penalty fee of R30-00.
  6. It will be each players own responsibility to check the players list on on Thursday and refer queries to: Wilna de Koster at 076764 1310before Friday evening 20h00.
