  • Check your ASU e-mail regularly.
  • Log in to the course site every day.
  • Try and set aside time to work on math every day. Don’t wait and try to cram it all in at the last minute.
  • STAY ON TRACK!!!
  • Watch the videos and read the textbook before you take your quizzes.
  • When you watch the video lectures, treat them like you would any classroom lecture. That is, keep a notebook and take notes as you watch the videos.
  • Pause and rewind the videos as needed. Watch them as many times as you need to.
  • Pause the videos and try and work out the problems on your own. Then start the video again to see how you did.
  • Work out all the problems in your notebook in an organized fashion. If you solved them incorrectly, make sure you go back and correct your work.
  • If you fail any section two or more times, set up a meeting with your instructor for help.
  • Take your notebook to class as well. It will be handy for problem solving.
  • Take breaks – If you are stuck on a problem for a long time, take a short break. Often times you will do a much better job at understanding the problem once your brain has had a chance to rest.
  • Make a list of questions you have to take into class. Ask your instructor for help with them
  • Give yourself time to study before the final exam.
