1.General Information

Welcome to the Echo Arena and the England Boxing Elite Male and Female Finals 2015.

The tournament will be held at the Liverpool Echo Arena Kings Dock, Liverpool Waterfront, Liverpool L3 4FP. This event is being staged by England Boxing.

3.Accreditation

Boxers – Accreditation wrist bands will issued to boxers and coaches prior to their first weigh in. Thereafter a daily wristband will be issued for boxers and coaches competing that day. You will need to be in possession of your wrist band to access the field of play.

Officials – Accreditation wrist bands will be issued to officials staying at the hotel on Thu 28 Apr, all other officials will be issued their accreditation at the venue between 0900 – 1100 on Fri 29 Apr. Accreditation for officials will be valid for the full period of their duty.

Any abuse of accreditation may lead to it being removed from the individuals involved.

4.Venue Access

Boxers and coacheswill be allowed to enter the venue to watch the boxing from the stands with their accreditation wristbands but will not be allowed on to the field of play.

5.Weigh In

There will be two weigh-ins for Quarter finals. Weigh will take place at the following times:

Boxers and coaches should be at the venue in good time to be weighed in and to carry out their medicals. Please ensure you bring your medical cards and gumshields with you (no red or partially red). Please note that due to the number of boxers entered in the event only one coach from any one club will allowed to enter the weigh in room with their boxer(s). Coaches are to make sure that their EB lanyards are in date and they bring them to the event.

Please also note that all boxers in each weight category will be required to weigh in on the first day of competition

Weight categories with 5 to 8 boxers and scheduled to box on Friday - ALL boxers will be required to weigh-in and medical on Friday 29 April, this includes seeded boxers.

Weight categories with 3 or 4 boxers in – ALL boxers will be required to weigh-in and medical on Saturday 30 April , this includes seeded boxers.

Weight categories with 2 boxers – will be required to weigh-in and medical on Sunday 01 May.

Please be advised that any boxer who does not weigh-in and medical on the day they are required to do so, will be withdrawn from the Championship Finals event.

6.Draw

The draw for boxers who weigh between 07:00 – 09:00 on Fri 29 Apr will be conducted at 09:30 on Fri 29 Apr at the Echo Arena. The draw for boxers who weigh between 1400 – 1600 on Fri 29 Apr will be conducted at 16:30 on Fri 29 at the Jury’s Inn Hotel. A maximum of two accredited persons per club will be allowed to witness either draw. The draw will be carried out electronically using the computer programme attached to the scoring system. Personnel will be informed of the exact location of the draw at the weigh in.

Please note that a provisional draw for those boxers not scheduled to attend until Saturday will be carried out Fri 29 Apr. Coaches / Official representative of these boxers will be welcome to attend this draw but must be registered with the accreditation team and be in possession of their accreditation wrist band to attend.

Note: A re-draw will be carried out on Sat 30 Apr (for boxers provisionally drawn only) if one of the following occurs:

•A boxer does not turn up

•A boxer does not make the weight

•A boxer is not passed fit by the doctor.

Please note that this programme will be dependent on all boxers making the weight and passing the doctors examination. The confirmed bout order for each day will be circulated on completion of the draw.
