SitransFC Coriolis Massflo meter

GENERAL

Scope

This section describes the requirements for a coriolis Massflo flow meter measuring system. Under this item, the contractor shall furnish and install the coriolis Massfloflow meter measuring system, and all associated equipment and accessories as indicated on the plans and as herein specified.

Submissions

The following information shall be included in the submittal for this section:

  • Data sheets and catalog literature for system components.
  • Interconnection and dimensional drawings.

Basic System Description

The coriolis Massflo flow meter measuring system where all sizes will be capable of measuring both liquid and gas mass flow rates.Sizes shall range from a minimum of1.5 mm (1/16”) to 150 mm (6”). All sizes from 1.5mm (1/16”) to 40 mm (1 ½”) shall be of a full bore, single tube design but configured in such a manor to provide dual tube accuracy. All units shall have an internal mounting configuration that provides isolation between the process connections and the measurement section of the sensor. The signal processing electronics shall be based on a ultra low noise ASIC using DFT (Discrete Fourier Transformation). They shall make use of field replaceable communication modules that allow for changing communication protocols without any change or modification in the basic signal processing electronics. The electronics will be accessible through a sealed touch key pad without opening the cover, and still maintaining their original classifications.

Coriolis Mass Flow operation description:

A driver circuit creates a natural frequency driving the flow tubes. This natural frequency will vary depending upon the density of the media in the flow tubes. The flow tubes will have a minimum of detectors (one up stream and one down stream) that will detect both the mass flow (based on phase shift) and the density (based on frequency. These signals will then be processed through the use of ASIC providing a variety of both Mass flow, volumetric flow and density outputs.
