The Engagement Chairis responsible for planning and executing CAB’s weekly general member meetings. General member meetings are attended by Towson students and usually involve games, food, and discussion about our upcoming events. The Engagement Chair is the liaison between general Towson students and the board. In addition to this, the Engagement chair is responsible for outreach and collaborations with other student organizations. They should be able to communicate friendly and professionally with organizations and departments during collaborative events.

You will function as a member of a fun and cohesive board with responsibilities such as attending two weekly meetings, weekend retreats in the summer and winter, and conferences. You must also be a full-time undergraduate student with a minimum GPA of 2.50.

Program Area Descriptions

Diversity: Promotes diversity and inclusivity through a wide range of educational activities and cultural awareness programs.

Daytime: Entertainment for the lunch-time hours. A wide variety is possible here, with past events including caricature artists, Build-A-Bear, Ice Cream Olympics, Commuter Events etc.

Lecture/Comedy: Speakers that discuss fun, educational, and thought-provoking material, and comedy shows that feature large scale national comedians as well as student comedy competitions and smaller-scale shows.

Signature Events: Annual collaborative events with other departments which include LaborStay weekend, Friday night Live, TU After Hours, and Tigerfest.

Special Events: Special “once a year” events, Casino Nights, carnivals,

outdoor movies, hypnotists etc. as well as bus trips, which are low-cost day trips to area events and attractions such as New York City, Georgetown, Six Flags, and Philadelphia.
