ENG1D Trend Assignment – Oral Presentation

Having completed Trend Week and charted your relative progress in having your trend “catch on” amongst peers and even strangers, it is time to report your progress to the class.

The Task:

You will give a 2-4 minute oral presentation to the class explaining your trend and how your week went. During your presentation, you should cover the following material:

  • Brief explanation of what your trend entailed
  • How you went about beginning your trend and trying to get it to initially take hold
  • What the initial reaction was to your trend (either positive or negative – or both)
  • What your feelings were as the week went on
  • Chart your trend’s progress in becoming accepted as the week progressed
  • How Kill Day went, including explaining how you went about killing your trend
  • Any overall thoughts or feelings about your trend and the entire process.

You will be evaluated using the included rubric. You may use any notes you wish and you do not need visuals.
