Enermodal Engineering Honoured with Tree for LifeAward for Environmental Sustainability

OTTAWA – Enermodal Engineering, a member of MMM Group,has won the Tree for Life Award for A Grander View – Enermodal Engineering’s Headquarters - at the 2011 Canadian Consulting Engineering Awards Gala. The Tree for Life Award is presented to a firm for a project that has distinguished itself by its commitment to environmental sustainability. The Canadian Consulting Engineering Awards arepresented jointly by the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies (ACEC) and Canadian Consulting Engineer Magazine.
The Canadian Consulting Engineering Awards are considered the highest form of recognition for the consulting engineering industry. “The awards showcase the important role of Canadian consulting engineering firms in every aspect of our lives,” says John Gamble, president of ACEC. “To win the Tree for Life Award is considered a prestigious honourby the industry.”
Enermodal Engineering specializes in creating green buildings and communities, and has over 100 green building specialists in Kitchener, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Halifax, Vancouver and Toronto. The award winning project, A Grander View – Enermodal Engineering's Headquarters, is the most energy-efficient office in Canada, using 82% less energy than a conventional office. Located in Kitchener, Ontario, the office is the first project to be achieve LEED Canada New Construction, Commercial Interiors, and Existing Buildings: Operations MaintenancePlatinum Certification.
