Annual Energy Logo Contest
Use your Creative Energy to create an Energy Logo Design and Campaign Slogan for Council Rock becoming a Green District. The winning logo and energy slogan will be used to create a Green Calendar which will be used district wide during the 08-09 school year to promote energy conservation.
v Who Can Participate
1) Open to all students in grades one through twelve.
v How To Participate
1) Contest opening date is March 24, 2008.
2) Contest closing date is April 11, 2008.
3) Each student may enter only one poster.
4) The logo and slogan must be original work of the participant.
5) The theme for the logo and slogan is energy conservation and efficiency.
6) Posters may be created in any medium.
7) All entries must have a label located on the back lower right corner. On the
label, print or type the student’s name, grade level, teacher’s name, and school name.
8) Poster size should range between 11” X 17” and 18” X 24” and in horizontal or
vertical formats.
v Criteria for Judging
1) Posters will be judged on a variety of criteria including accuracy of information; creativity and originality in design; color and effectiveness.
2) The criterion of effectiveness includes educating others about energy efficiency and conservation.
3) Two winning posters will be selected from each grade level from each school.
4) These posters will be displayed at the Chancellor Administration Building.
5) The 12 winning logos and slogans (one from each grade) will then be selected from these posters and announced on April 24, 2008.
6) The winning logo and slogan will be used throughout the district in a GREEN calendar to promote energy conservation.
7) Each year’s winners will have their designs used throughout the district and community in the form of the calendar.
