End of year wrap-up

  • Disable BL courses.
  • BL courses are used to supplement the instruction of a regular classroom teacher, so are NOT marked complete.
  • BL courses supplement instruction, so should be disabled at the end of each semester
  • Disable SR courses
  • SR courses are used to make up missed units for a class a student would have otherwise failed. If the student completes the required work, send a grade sheet to the teacher of the original classroom course so they can do a grade change request to the transcript. They are NOT marked complete
  • Students have one semester to make up missing units, so should be disabled at the end of each semester
  • Run a report from either dashboard or group reporting to check the percentage complete on all active courses
  • If Edgenuity says the course is 100% complete:
  • Check the scores and activity review to confirm that ALL scores are at 80% or higher (70% or other for modified)
  • Check the course screen to make sure there are no bypassed assignments
  • Check the progress report to make sure all coursework has been completed
  • Do all the paperwork
  • Get the grade on IC
  • Mark the course complete
  • Run a report from dashboard to check that there are no courses older than one year.
  • You can either run a report or sort dashboard by start date
  • Disable any courses that a student started prior to 1 June 2017 (if you haven’t already)
  • Archive any student who graduated
  • You can probably get a list from the records person at your school. The “90” code will not be on the transcript until sometime during the summer
  • You can save some time by going to the “manage students beta” screen.
  • Archive a page at a time
  • If you get the prompt that they have active classes, allow the classes to be disabled
  • Do NOT archive students who transferred out of your school.
  • If, for instance, a student transferred from TJ to Delta, and was archived, the student would be archived in the entire Edgenuity system
  • Clear your school
  • if a student has transferred to another DPS school that does Edgenuity, they will show up as highlighted blue on the manage student screen. You can also get a list of students who transferred from the “Manage students beta” screen – just click the home school filter
  • if using the manage student screen, you will save time if you scroll down and look at the maximum number possible
  • When you see a highlighted student, click on the student, then go to the student option screen. Unclick the box for your school. The school they moved to will have both the circle and the square checked.
