PURPOSE:

To manage and provide support for the traditional and college recruiting effort including recruiting, interviewing, selection and placement efforts; assist Corporate Human resources with the implementation and administration or the Career Orientation and Development program; Provide analytical and administrative HR support to the Value Stream Operations HR Team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Recruiting:

· Work with universities and Corporate HR to develop and implement college recruitment strategies to achieve required staffing levels for Manufacturing in the COD Program.

· Support the college recruiting program identifying candidates for entry level career tracks; in addition to identifying potential intern or co-op candidates.

· Manage the salaried selection process and its components to ensure adherence to all equal employment opportunity legislation, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and other government compliance requirements.

· Maintain necessary files covering applications, interviews, and testing procedures;

· Provide counseling and resource assistance in the areas of recruiting, interviewing, selection and placement;

· Develop and conduct training programs for hiring managers designed to improve recruiting of COD Employees.

· Check credentials and references, and schedule follow-up interviews with hiring managers;

· Coordinate travel arrangements and lodging accommodations for candidates;

· Prepare and communicate employment offers with COD candidates and arrange for all pre-hire processes.

· Review and revise, as necessary, the selection process and job descriptions to ensure alignment with manufacturing needs and the six dimensions of our employee selection process;

Human Resources:

· Provide Analytical and administrative support for the Value Stream Operations HR Team.

· Provide HR generalist support as directed by the HR Director – VSO. This may include policy research, investigations, recruitment, and other HR generalist activities.

· Participate on cross functional and HR related teams as directed.

· Continually improve and upgrade personal and professional skills;

· Continue to improve and upgrade human resource functions through knowledge, experience, and “best practice” philosophy; and

· Role model CITE and Working-in-teams principles

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· This position will not have any supervisory responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Undergraduate degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related field;

· A minimum of 2 years of HR Generalist experience to include: recruitment, staffing or human resource management experience preferred, PHR certification preferred;

· Excellent managerial skills, including the recruitment, development and retention of an effective team using effective team management philosophy;

· Thorough knowledge of equal employment opportunity laws, ADA, and other government compliance regulations that affect job recruitment;

· Excellent interviewing and general communications and writing skills;

· Experience in developing and administering human resource programs including but not limited to recruiting, interviewing, selection and placement, for salaried personnel preferred; and

· Excellent personal computer skills in a networked environment, Microsoft products and Cyborg experience preferred.

· Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Typical office environment. The noise level is usually moderate. Significant out-of-town travel required (25-50%) Occasional weekend work.
