Position: Executive Chef

Facilities: The Willow Oaks Country Club is a 56 year old, member owned club with 935 member families. Gross dollar volume is $7.7 million; annual dues volume is $4.5 million; annual food and beverage revenues of $2.2 million. Athletic facilities include newly renovated 18-hole golf course with practice facilities; eight lighted outdoor and four indoor tennis courts; fitness facilities and a 25-meter swimming pool. Dining facilities include a formal dining room and lounge; member grill and bar; banquet rooms; several private rooms in the historic main house and a pool snack bar. The club is open six/seven days per week, 12 months per year and is located in the heart of Richmond on the banks of the historic James River.

Qualifications: The Executive Chef (EC) is responsible for all food and beverage Back-of-the-House (BOH) operations while working closely with Front-of-the-House (FOH) staff to ensure the delivery of quality and innovative services, products and offerings to members and guests. The ideal candidate will be a strong and passionate leader and culinary professional with a proven track record of providing high-level services with a personality that is commensurately appropriate. Have a minimum of four years prior management experience as an EC and at least five years of diversified kitchen and hospitality industry experience including banquet and restaurant operations. Have a successful track record working in private clubs or equivalent culinary operations. Successfully lead dynamic culinary operations and have the ability to consistently define and achieve goals and objectives. This includes proven and verifiable leadership qualities with demonstrated ability to direct, coordinate and control all facets of an active food and beverage operation. Have strong management skills with verifiable strengths in inspirational leadership, financial performance, and people skills. Be a confident, proactive team builder who has a history of attracting, developing and retaining high performing staff. The Executive Chef must possess strong written and oral communications skills. Have computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; with knowledge of POS software being a plus.
