POSITION PURPOSE
Manages and coordinates all support, clerical and billing operations and staff to ensure cost-effective efficiencies, organization of systems/processes and compliance with regulatory, quality, industry and Agency standards.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
1. Education: Bachelors degree in business or related field; demonstrated management and analytical skills. Experience combined with demonstrated ability may be substituted for formal education.
2. Certification: A.R.T. preferred.
3. Experience: A minimum of two years medical records or health care office coordination/management experience with medical record experience required. Must have the ability to work efficiently and responsibly in an environment with multiple work demands and short time frames.
4. Interpersonal: Must possess excellent organizational skills and written and verbal communication skills skills. Diplomatic and able to maintain confidentiality. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Effectively communicate orally and in writing with staff, Agency managers, Director, volunteers and other clientele is required.
5. Physical Abilities: N/A
6. OSHA: This position is a Category III job classification per OSHA standards. Normal work does not involve occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

Rating Duties and Responsibilities
______Directly manages and supervises all clerical/support staff, including data entry, medical records, billing, supplies and other assigned support staff to assure optimal levels of efficiencies and productivity in the clerical systems and operations.
______Monitors, designs and facilitates internal systems to assure timely flow of paperwork and filing, as well as regulatory compliance in obtaining physician signatures on all physician orders/certifications/recertifications.
______Provides direct oversight of clerical/support systems and staff to insure smooth day-to-day operations; and collaborates with other departments and personnel for all plant, property, equipment, supplies and IS needs.
______Collaborates with Patient Accounts Department on all billing/claim-related issues.
______Trains, orientates and educates clerical/support staff on all job duties and responsibilities; and evaluates staff competencies.
______Responsibly and readily coaches/manages staff to meet the needs of the individual.
______In collaboration with Director, managers and staff, coordinates clerical/support services to provide an organized, user-friendly and accessible office/clerical system for Agency staff and external contacts/customers.
______Assures adequate staffing coverage of clerical/support operations, so as to maintain and maximize productivity and outcomes.
