Employability Skill in Natural Resource Management

Why skill training:

  • Natural Resources especially agriculture and allied activity, animal husbandry and forestry are the largest job providers in India & supposed to contribute substantially in GDP.
  • The potential for providing of job to millions of rural population of India is contributing comparatively less and declining every year.
  • secondary schools, the drop out at 7 to 12 standard are not available to engage in theses sector and therefore there is wide gap of skill essentially required to tap the potential of natural resources.

Need assessment:

  • Rural peoples’ access to education and training is often limited by financial barriers.
  • Rural youth do not have quality basic education. This also hampers their access to technical and vocational training or other skills development.
  • Unequal gender relations and traditional gender roles entail specific difficulties for rural girls and women in accessing education and training.
  • Education and training is often of inadequate quality.
  • Teachers and trainers may be unqualified or pseudo qualified, equipment and technology out-dated, and teaching and training methods ill-suited to rural contexts.

Our objective:

  • To provide vocational training to 5000 youth, women and girls in next 10 year.
  • Provide technical knowledge and soft skills required to women and BP youths to optimize their potentials for the management of the natural resources Guide him through the market scenario and
  • Provide employment/Self-employment handholding after training
  • Extended support in uplifting the economic standards of girls, women and BPL youths through backward and forward linkages
  • Extend technical support to other organization to replicate the training institute on the same pattern elsewhere in the country.

Venue of training center: Nature resource management centre, At Sachitanand dham, Bawangoan, Post- Badegoan, District- Nagpur.

Natural Resource Management needs special technical skills along with basis soft skills to access the employment or start self employment venture. Since the districts selected have immense potential for providing jobs based on the natural resource management works like production, conservation, processing, value addition and marketing provided we could bring functional literacy and employability and self employability skills.

  • Hiring of Jeeps Taxis.
  • Running canteen.
  • Running co-operative markets in shopping complexes.
  • Running Dairy, Goatary and Poultry for the consumption of the colony and villages in the vicinity.
  • Slope stabilization earth work for reclamation of OB dumps.
  • Set up nursery for supply of sapling, flowering plants, bio-composts to garden and reclamation program and road side plantation.
  • Farm Based production units like horticulture, sericulture, piscilculture, animal husbandry, bee keeping, medicinal plants cultivation on our unused land and afforested areas.
  • Supply of canteen and cooperative stores of the items prepared by village women.
  • Run the mess and transit hostel.
  • Workshop washing, cleaning.
  • Coal Transportation road’s Dust brooming and utilization of coal dust for coal briquettes for domestic consumption.
  • Xeroxing, typing, and Printing which are otherwise offloaded to outside agency.
  • Fly ash bricks, fencing poles supply.
  • Labor Contractors for daily wagers for civil works.
