BLR2 (New Ellure Plus) Windows VISTA support program —Ver.1.01

Install procedure

**CAUTION!!**

If you connect your machine to the PC of Windows VISTA, it will not work properly.

To use your machine connected to the PC of Windows VISTA, please read the following.

> How to confirm whether your machine supports Windows VISTAor not

Two cases below are possible:

CASE A: you have Windows VISTAonly

 Please contact a dealer shop located near you.

CASE B: you have another OS(Windows®98SE/Me/2000/XP Home/Professional) other than Windows VISTA

Please be sure to install the program to your machine by a PC with Windows®98SE/Me/2000/XP Home/Professional, following the“Program Install procedure”below.

Please do not use Windows Vista for this installation.

Once you install the program, you can upgrade your machine directly with Windows VISTA from the next version.

Program Install procedure

**NOTE**

-Before you update your machine to Ver.1.01, please be sure to install this Windows VISTA support programfirst. Your machine could be damaged otherwise.

-Please install this program and upgrade your machine, even if you are not Windows Vista owner.

1. / While holding "Setting key" pressed, turn on the machine.
The following screen appears.

If screen with a frame as below appears, the sewing machine already supports Windows Vista™.
You do not need to follow the steps below for supporting it.
Please follow "To confirm the software version of your sewing machine" below directly and upgrade your software to the latest version.
2. / Plug the USB cable connectors into the corresponding USB ports on the computer and on the machine.
The "Removable Disk" icon appears in "My Computer" on the computer.
3. / Create a temporary folder (ex. C:\Temp) on your PC to save the support program file to be downloaded.
4. / Click the "Download fcmbuvista.up2" link below. (Support program)
Download fcmbuvista.up2
5. / Select the previously created temporary folder (ex. C:\Temp) where the downloaded file should be stored.
Download the file.
6. / Copy the "fcmbuvista.up2" file to "Removable Disk".
The message "Connected to PC. Do not disconnect the USB cable." appears on the LCD.
7. / When the screen shown in step 1. appears again, press "LOAD".
The message "Saving the upgrade file. Do not turn main power to OFF." appears.
8. / When the following screen appears, turn the machine off, then on again.

9. / When the following screen appears, press "LOAD".

10. / The message "Saving the upgrade file. Do not turn main power to OFF." appears.
**CAUTION**
Never turn off the machine while this message is shown. The machine could be damaged.
11. / The machine will re-start automatically after waiting for about 10 seconds, then the following screen will appear.
Confirm that the screen as below appears.

12. / Create a temporary folder (ex. C:\Temp) on your PC to save the update program file to be downloaded.
13. / Click the "DownloadFILE 1" link below. (Software-1/2)
Download FILE_1 (fcmbublr21011.up2: 1.8MB)
14. / Select the previously created temporary folder (ex. C:\Temp) where the downloaded file should be stored.
Download the file.
15. / Then click the "DownloadFILE 2" link below. (Software-2/2)
Download FILE 2(fcmbublr21012.up2: 1.2MB)
You can upgrade your machine by the following method.Please refer to below.

To confirm the software version of your sewing machine

1. / Press the power switch to turn on your machine, then touch the screen.
2. / Press (Setting Mode Key) at the bottom of the display.
3. / Go toward p.6, and you can see the software version number displayed at the right bottom.
(If the version is already ver.1.01 or higher, it is not necessary to update your machine with the program on this page.)

How to update your machine's software

1. / Create a temporary folder (ex. C:\Temp) on your PC to save the update program file to be downloaded.
2. / Click the "Download FILE 1" link above. (Software-1/2)
3. / Select the previously created temporary folder (ex. C:\Temp) where the downloaded file should be stored.
4. / Download the file.
Then click the "Download FILE 2" link above.(Software-2/2)
